Notice of Student Tardiness and/or Elopement From Class

Hello.

My name is Mr. Graham. I am your student’s math teacher at Roxborough High School. I am writing to inform you that your student was either late to class or left class without permission at some point in the last week. Although this is an automated message, its deployment is manually triggered. If you have received this message multiple times, it is because your student has been found in repeated violation.

Our expectation is that students arrive to class on time and that they remain in the classroom for the period, except when a hall pass is obtained pursuant to established classroom procedures. Your student did not meet this expectation. Please discuss the lateness and elopement policy with your student, and take any other action you feel is prudent to prevent your student from committing further violations.

Parent contact is the second tier consequence for tardiness and/or elopement. Future consequences may include after school detention, mandatory parent conference, and restoration room with school-based community service.
